Tony Blair on YouTube - video

British Prime Minister Tony Blair is utilizing YouTube to congratulate the new French president, Nicolas Sarkozy. Pretty cool.

And in French!

It will be interesting as politicians increasingly use YouTube and other web tools to communicate directly to their constituents, bypassing the traditional media completely.

Greetings, O omnipotent blogiverse! I’m Jamie, the other blogging and podcasting half of Lights That Blink. Unlike Doug, I’m very new to the ways of point-and-click pontification, so it may take a while before you see regular posts from me. (Heck, it took a long time before I could work up the nerve to simply comment on a blog!) Today I cast off my digital silence in the hopes that someday soon, I’ll be rackin’ up the hits and starting comment wars rivaling the most ignorantly impassionate of Digg threads.

Now, this is a tech blog, and I suppose it would be prudent for me to include something technical, but instead I shall bid adieu to my “FRIST PS0T!!!!!111″ (as the heavily moderated Slashdotters say) by posting a bona fide YouTube gem. Undoubtedly some of our loyal readers (Hi Mom!) have seen it, but hopefully Doug has not. ;)
